Palm oil is one of the world’s most widely used natural substances, prevalent in many of the packaged goods we see at the supermarket every day. When extracted and produced sustainably, we as consumers reap its benefits – vitamin E to assist improved brain/heart health, and vitamin absorption to name a few. Palm Oil, however, can be extracted at a cost to the environment, unless sustainable practices are implemented and certified.
The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global, non-profit organisation with voluntary members – focused on bringing together stakeholders from across the palm oil supply chain to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil. These standards have been laid out to prevent deforestation, facilitate fair trade, and protect our wildlife and environment.
While pure delish do not use palm oil as an ingredient inclusion in our products – we acknowledge that palm oil is component ingredient of the dark chocolate compound we use for our chocolate dipped products. The palm oil contained within the dark chocolate compound is RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certified.
